An upgrade of the company’s five-slot AdvancedTCA backplane offers a new shelf manager interconnect scheme. The ATCA backplane now features standard MicroTCA connectors that are field replaceable. If damaged, the connector can be unscrewed from the backplane and replaced.
The 18-layer ATCA backplane features a 3x replicated Mesh topology, but a standard Full Mesh or even Dual Star can be implemented. (Less than $1,400 — 4 to 6 weeks ARO.)
