GaAs MMIC mixer covers 6 to 12 GHz

Suited for use in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radio, test equipment, laboratory, and military applications from 6 to 12 GHz, the HMC663LC3 double-balanced mixer can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. Optimized balun structures allow the part to provide up to 42 dB of LO to RF and LO to IF isolation, while conversion loss is specified at only 8 dB across the frequency range of 6 to 12 GHz.

The part exhibits a wide IF bandwidth of dc to 4 GHz, while operating with LO drive levels as low as +17 dBm.
