Suited for automotive safety applications, the LMH6553 fully differential amplifier includes a programmable output-limiting clamp for protecting A/D converters and other downstream circuitry from overvoltage events. The part features 900-MHz unity-gain bandwidth while operating on only 29 mA of supply current — resulting in a power-to-performance ratio of 32 μA per MHz.
Additional features include a wide supply range from a single 4.5 V up to a split ±6-V supply, an ESD protection of 4 kV, a clamp overdrive recovery time 600 ps, and a guaranteed clamp accuracy of ±53 mV.
