PCIe switch ICs handle up to 64 lanes

The 89HPES22H16, 89HPES32H8, 89HPES34H16, 89HPES48H12, and 89HPES64H16 PCIx switch ICs include the industry’s largest switch, a 64-lane/16-port device, along with 48-, 34-, 32-, and 22-lane parts. The switches are said to be the first in the industry to support multicast and multiroot partitioning and all are Gen2 compliant.

The devices provide dynamic resource allocation for quality of service assurance and advanced failover support for increased system reliability. Typical power requirements range from 2.9 to 8.1 W and power management features enable turning off unused SerDes, per-port transmit low-swing voltage mode, and programmable and dynamic link width reconfiguration.
