16-bit MCUs have CAN port, 280-Kbyte flash

The R5FxxxJFx 16-bit microcontroller family features up to 280 Kbytes of flash and 20 Kbytes of RAM. The chips target automotive-body and chassis-control applications, and half the models include a CAN controller.

The 32-MHz processors include 11 external interrupts, a 10-bit A/D converter, and 8 Kbytes of data flash memory rated for 10,000 rewrite cycles. The processors have a precision oscillator, I2C and SSI ports, a task monitor timer, and a real-time clock. They operate at 40° to 85°C or 40° to 125°C, and come in 64- and 80-pin packages.
