The SiP21110 250-mA LDO voltage regulator features a 35-µA typ ground current at a 1-mA load in a SOT23-5L package. The low ground current helps extend battery run times between charges in battery-operated power systems and portable electronics, such as cell phones and wireless handsets, PDAs, digital cameras, pagers, wireless modems, and medical handheld devices.
The regulator features an adjustable output from 1.3 to 5 V with an external resistor network and a 1% output voltage accuracy at 25°C. The device maintains regulation while delivering 330-mA typ peak current for systems with a high surge current at turn-on. In shutdown mode, the output automatically discharges by connecting the output to ground through a 100-Ω n-channel MOSFET. ($0.38 ea/1,000 — available now.)
