The 9162 family of SIM card connectors includes three new versions that reduce space and provide extra security. The connectors shrink overall SIM-card-installed height to less than 1.70 mm, providing a 0.70-mm profile from the PCB to the underside of the card.
The lockable SIM card connectors also allow users to locate, align, and lock the card in place and feature a hinged lid with rails for SIM card alignment. A recessed molding ensures that the card will not lock if the card is wrongly inserted into the cover. Life expectancy is 5,000 mating cycles and power rating is 0.5 A.
