Front-end supplies offer efficiency, density

The D1U4-W series ac/dc front-end power supplies deliver bulk power with 90.9% efficiency and a power density up to 17.9 W/in.3 . The units are suitable for use in servers, network equipment and other distributed power architecture applications. The supplies are housed in a 1U low-profile package and provide 1,600 W (220 Vac) or 1,200 W (110 Vac) output power and main output voltages of 12 V.

The front-end supplies have active PFC and feature active current sharing on the main output. Integrated OR-ing FETs support n + 1 operation including hot docking. In addition to the main output, standby outputs of either 3.3 or 5 V that give up to 20 W of standby power, are provided to support system housekeeping and monitoring requirements.
