Featuring the ESDALC3V9-1U2, ESDALC6V1-1U2, and ESDALC14V2-1U2, the ESDALCxx-1U2 ESD protection diodes are said to be 67% smaller than previous versions, withstand the toughest IEC61000-4-2 ESD test pulse, and deliver low clamping voltages to protect low-voltage ICs in portable devices such as mobile phones, GPSs, and MP3 players.

Offered in an ST0201 package with a 0.18-mm2 footprint, the ESD protection diodes have a breakdown voltage of 3.9, 6.1, and 14.2 V, respectively. Additional features include low leakage current to minimize battery drain, and capacitances of 6 or 12 pF to maximize signal integrity. ($0.09 ea/100,000 — available now.)
