Thinnest profile, fastest startup, and programmability target portable electronics

The SiT8003, SiT8003XT, and SiT8033 programmable MEMS-based oscillators feature a low power consumption in active and standby modes, typically less than 3.5 mA and 10 μA, respectively, and offer a fast startup time of less than 3 ms. The SiT8003XT is also claimed to be the thinnest programmable oscillator at 0.25 mm, suiting it for smart cards, high-capacity SIM cards, and smaller, thinner consumer electronics.

The SiT8003 is available in standard four-pad package footprints of 2.5 x 2.0, 3.2 x 2.5, 5.0 x 3.2, and 7.0 x 5.0 mm and offers frequency tolerance of ±25 ppm, allowing more timing margin for high-performance applications such as video. The SiT8033 enables the user to select one of two related frequencies from the same device.

All three parts can be programmed to operate at 1.8, 2.5, 2.8 or 3.3 V, and at frequencies from 1 to 110 MHz. (Call Piyush Sevalia for pricing samples available mid-February; prod qty, late March.)
