HDMI Tx includes CEC

The ADV7510 Deep Color HDMI transmitter integrates a CEC (consumer electronic control) controller and buffer — enabling high-performance audio/visual equipment with 12-bit Deep Color operation and 1080p connectivity. The part is supported by the company’s field-tested software driver and HDMI pre-certification testing. The transmitter also supports x.v.Color, which increases the range of available colors to render the most realistic images possible when playing digital video content.

The transmitter features an I2 C master for extended display identification data reading and 5-V-tolerant I/Os that support I2 C and HPD (Hot Plug Detect). Housed in an LQFP package, the part is specified over the −25° to 85°C temperature range. ($7.59 ea/1,000 — available now.)
