The MAX9610 current-sense amplifier provides an extended, 1.6 to 5.5 V input common-mode range. The input range is suitable for monitoring the current of a single-cell, Li-ion battery, which at full-charge is 4.2 V, typically 3.6 V in normal use, and less than 2.9 V when ready to be recharged.
Additionally, the part provides 1-μA supply current, a 500-μV max input offset voltage and ±0.5% max gain error for maximum precision. Available in tiny microDFN and SC70 packages, the part is offered in three gain options: 25 V/V, 50 V/V, and 100 V/V. (From $0.64 ea/1,000 — available now.)
