The OPB780 color sensor evaluation kit includes an OPB780 sensor mounted on a test fixture, an PC interface board, a USB A/B interface cable, and a USB flash drive with installation software, datasheet, and instructions. The sensor can recognize light over a UV-to-IR (300 to 1,100-nm) spectrum.
The monolithic CMOS sensor consists of a white LED for target illumination, a photodiode array to sense target-reflected light, and a current-to-frequency converter. The array consists of 64 configurable photodiodes in groups of 16 diodes connected in parallel; each group has green, clear, red, or blue filters. ($125 — available now.)
