Designed for testing UPS, off-grid inverters, and ac sources, as well as devices such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and connectors, 63800 Series programmable ac electronic loads has built-in functions to let users easily measure critical timing parameters such as battery discharge time, fuse and breaker trip time, and UPS transfer time.

With a 50 to 350-Vrms range, models have power ratings of 1,800 W (15 A rms) or 4,500 W (45 A rms) and a frequency range of 45 to 440 Hz, plus dc. Crest factor is programmable, from 1.414 to 5.0, as is power factor, from 0 to 1 lead or lag. Modes include CC, CR, CV, and CP for dc loading, as well as constant and rectified load modes.
