The BCH 501 series compact dc output UPS system/battery charger uses high-frequency conversion topology to generate 500-W output power. It accepts a jumper selectable 115- or 230-Vac input, a 95 to 264-Vac universal input with power factor correction, or a 250-Vdc input. Standard output float voltages of 13.8, 27.6, 55.4, or 138 Vdc are available.
The device is composed of two vertically stacked chassis. The lower chassis contains the basic charger section with charger fail alarm, battery temperature compensation and separation diode. The UPS section, mounted on the power supply section, is self-contained and features low-battery disconnect, low-battery alarm, and monitoring circuits. ($303 ea/100 — available now.)
