‘Green’ UV LEDs provide uniform optical pattern

Eliminating environmental concerns associated with disposal of mercury UV lamps, OUE8A Series LEDs are offered in a variety of narrow wavelengths in the UV-A spectrum. Housed in hermetic TO-46 metal can packages, they are RoHS compliant and ESD protected.

The series covers the range from 375 to 425 nm in 5-nm bands, with output power ranges from 1.8 to 8.1 mW at the low end of the spectrum to 7.3 to 15.4 mW at the high end. The LEDs have an 18° typical half power emission angle, a pulsed forward current of 1.6 A, and operating temperature ranges from −40° to 85°C.
