PCIe packet processors expand server capacity

The WANic 56511 and 56512 intelligent PCI Express packet processor boards offload network processing in a server and raise performance to handle rapidly increasing network traffic. The cards feature the OCTEON Plus CN5650 12-core 750-MHz processor and 10-GbE interfaces.

The WANic 56511 has one 10-GbE interface and an eight lane PCI Express host interface, The WANic 56512 has two 10-GbE interfaces and four lanes of PCI Express to the host, Both have up to 4 Gbytes of DDR2 SDRAM packet memory and up to 4 Gbytes of flash disk.
