Metal resistors allow for cooling via airflow
The BR Series radially leaded through-hole current-sense resistors use a bare metal element that allows for cooling via airflow, forcing less heat into the PCB. The resistors are said to be flameproof, offering typical inductance as low as 1 nH, with resistance shifts of ≤0.5% and ≤0.25% for short time overloads.
RoHS compliant, the resistors are available in 1-, 3-, and 5-W sizes, with TCR ranging from 100 to 20 ppm and resistance values as low as 1 MΩ. The resistors are capable of operating temperatures to 275°C, with 1%, 2%, and 5% tolerances. (From $0.20 to $0.47 ea/minimum qty — stock to 8 weeks ARO.)
