Based on redriver technology, the PCI Express (PCIe) x16 Gen 2 host cable adapter enables high-speed expansion over a PCIe cable from a host system at 80 Gbits/s to a PCIe downstream device or expansion chassis. Add-in card accepts a clock as an input in host-mode and drives a clock in target mode.

The cable adapter can be fitted with standard height or half height slot brackets, the half-card form factor allows for easy installation in space-constrained slots. The PCIe x16 cable and edge connectors are routed directly to the Pericom 5804 redriver chip. ($569 — available now.)
