The camera has an 82 wide-angle lens with 4x digital zoom and 2.4x manual optical zoom, as well as a progressive-scan CCD to prevent smear in moving objects. The unit’s image processor handles white balance, exposure compensation, shutter speed, color correction, Smart Shade Control, and Auto/Day Night image enhancement. The DIGIC NET chip performs M-JPEG, MPEG-4 encoding simultaneously and transmits VGA-resolution video at 30 fps. ($899 available in May.)
