The MAX17065 integrated PMIC includes a step-up dc/dc converter, an inverting dc/dc converter, regulated positive and negative charge pumps, and an LDO. It integrates all power functions required for active-matrix, organic light-emitting diode displays.
The PMIC operates from a 2.3 to 4.5–V input supply. The step-up converter circuit provides a fixed 5.35–V output with up to 94% efficiency. The inverting converter features an adjustable, 0.5 to 5–V output and is up to 83% efficient. Each switching converter has a selectable switching frequency of 600 kHz or 1.2 MHz. The output voltage of the positive charge pump can be programmed between 5.5 and 9 V, while the negative charge pump can be programmed between 0.5 and 5 V. The LDO provides a 1.9–V output for loads up to 60 mA. ($1.20 ea/1,000 — available now.)
