Measuring 7 x 7 mm, the R2J15116FP digital amplifier accepts an IIS digital-audio signal input, performs processing with a built-in audio 24-bit DSP unit, and then amplifies the result to deliver adaptively tuned stereo output to two speakers at up to 15 W/channel. Besides overcurrent, overheating, and low-voltage detection and protection circuits, the part also offers a feature that gives advance warning of overheating — it automatically lowers the volume to reduce excessive heat generation.
Housed in a 48-pin HTQFP, the part offers a power supply voltage of 3.3 V (preamplifier stage) and 15 V (power-amplifier stage). ($3 ea/10,000 — available now.)
