Coaxial drive reduces noise in first gear stage

Suited for noise-sensitive applications, the Koaxdrive KD 32 coaxial drive features a patent-protected design that reduces noise during the first gear stage. The drive’s design combines both worm and planetary gearing technologies, namely worm-formed motor pinion drives and three offset plastic planetary wheels that interlock with the straight cut teeth of the internal gear.

Designed for compact applications, the drive has an outer diameter of 32 mm, torque of 6.5 Nm, and coaxial arrangement on the drive and output shaft. Many reduction ratios are available as standard in the 11:1 to 1,091:1 range. (Contact company for pricing and availability.)
