The CAP7L customizable microcontroller system-on-chip is based on the ARM7 processor. It features a turnaround time as low as 12 weeks and an NRE charge of only $75,000. The processor has 200 Kgates of metal programmable cell fabric that can be used to implement customer IP and does not require an ARM IP license.
The IC’s worst-case static power consumption is between 3 and 4 mW. The devices second-generation metal programmable cell fabric technology (MPCF-II) has reduced mask charges by using only three metal and three via layers for configuration. ($5.50 ea/50,000 — available now.)
