The M21165 crosspoint switch is fully nonblocking and protocol agnostic, with each independent channel operating at up to 6.5 Gbits/s. Targeting broadcast video routing, blade server, storage, and DWDM applications, the IC has signal-conditioning circuits that include programmable per-lane input equalization.
The chip uses a 1.2-V core supply, and the input and output drivers may be powered by 1.2 or 1.8 V. Typical power is 22 W, and the device comes in a TEPBGA1936 package. An evaluation board is available. ($1,200 ea/prototype qty samples available now.)
