The MB88395 IEEE 1394 automotive controller can simultaneously transmit multiple streams around a vehicle, such as HD video from Blu-Ray DVDs, digital TV, and navigation images using a 800 Mbit/s physical layer and link layer. The chips proprietary codec provides high compression and can transmit HD video without perceptible latency.
