Expansion chassis operates via PCIe

The PCIe-to-6U Compaction/PXI expansion kit supports up to seven devices in a remote 6U CompactPCI/PXI chassis. The kit uses a 2.5-Gbit/s PCIe bus to provide a data transfer rate of over 110 Mbytes/s at distances up to 7 m.

The package includes the PCIe-8560 PCIe host board, the PXI-8656/6U remote system controller, and an expansion cable. The control of the chassis through the host board is transparent to software applications and drivers. All CompactPCI and PXI modules installed in the remote chassis will operate as if they are directly installed in the host system. ($1,155, not including chassis — available now.)
