RF SoC supports an extensive set of apps

The 2.4-GHz CC2530 RF system-on-chip solution integrates an RF transceiver, an 8051 MCU, 8 Kbytes of RAM, and up to 256 Kbytes of flash memory. The SoC supports the IEEE 802.15.4 standard and an extensive set of applications, including ZigBee PRO networks, ZigBee RF4CE remote controls, smart energy, home and building automation, environmental monitoring, and wireless medical.

The CC2530 offers free protocol software stacks: Z-Stack software for ZigBee-compliant applications, RemoTI network protocol for ZigBee RF4CE remote control applications, and SimpliciTI network protocol for proprietary networking applications. It is available in a QFN-40 package. Its demo kit provides all the hardware and software necessary to evaluate the CC2530: basic development kit (CC2530DK), ZigBee development kit (CC2530ZDK), and ZigBee RF4CE development kit (RemoTI-CC2530DK).
