Hall-effect sensor has vertical Hall elements
The HAL 3625 Hall-effect sensor is based on the company’s 3D-Hall technology and equipped with vertical Hall elements. This technology allows rotation angles from 0° to 360° to be detected directly with minimum measuring efforts.
The part features integrated signal processing and is suitable for use in automobiles (valves, TPS, EGR, turbochargers, steering angles), but also for home appliances (selector switches and for out-of-balance detection in white goods). Housing is in SOIC8 packages, and temperature range is from –40° to 170°C. (Between 1.5 and 2.0 euros ea/100,000 — 3rd qtr 2009.)
