Ideal for LCD-based TVs, notebook PCs, and monitors, the 10-bit MAX9669 16-channel, gamma-correction reference system with integrated nonvolatile (NV) memory eliminates multiple discrete components including a digital variable resistor, VCOM amplifier, gamma buffers, resistor strings, and a high-voltage linear regulator. The NV multiple-time programmable (MTP) memory supports up to 100 write operations of gamma and VCOM values to the chip, thus eliminating the need for external EEPROM.
It offers 16 programmable gamma-correction outputs and one voltage reference for VCOM adjustment. The part has an on-chip, 10-bit DAC that contains a low-pass filter that reduces the horizontal line frequency noise by 50 dB. ($1.80 ea/1,000 — available now.)
