Bipolar power supplies suit inductive loads

The BOP series 200- and 400-W bipolar operational power supplies are optimized for driving inductive loads. They are designed to operate in a stable manner in Current or Current-Limit modes with loads up to 1 henry and any R-L series load combination.

The 200-W models are available in 20-V/20-A and 36-V/6-A versions while the 400-W models come in 36-V/12-A and 50-V/8-A versions. Depending on version, bandwidths range from 2 to 6 kHz with a 2-mH load, and recovery times for a step load-change (short to nominal resistive load) range from 25 to 40 μs.
