4-ch digital isolators come in tiny packages

Housed in 5 × 6-mm 16-pin QSOPs, the ADuM744x family of digital isolators (comprising the ADuM7440, ADuM7441, and ADuM7442) can isolate four channels of data and power. This is especially effective for those applications that need only up to a 1-kVrms isolation rating and for cost-sensitive designs for which small size is more critical than isolation requirements.

The family comes in a variety of configurations with multiple channel-direction options and data-rate options ranging from 1 to 25 Mbits/s. The devices offer a 3.0 to 5.5-V supply voltage range and feature an input glitch filter to protect against extraneous noise disturbances. ($1.50 ea/1,000 — samples, now.)
