12-Mbit/s UARTs have USB interface

The XR21V1410, XR21V1412, and XR21V1414 are 12-Mbit/s UARTs with a USB 2.0 slave interface and one, two, or four channels. The devices come in QFN16, QFN32, or TQFP48 packages and support USB suspend, resume, and remote wakeup operations.

The devices feature a large 128-byte TX and 384-byte RX FIFO, automatic hardware (RTS/CTS or DTR/DSR) flow control, automatic software (Xon/Xoff) flow control, and multidrop mode with auto half-duplex transceiver control. They have an internal 48 MHz clock, so no external crystal is needed, operate from a single 2.97 to 3.63-V supply, and have 5-V-tolerant inputs. ($1.80 to $5.80 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
