EEPROMs have fast serial interfaces

The M95512 and M24512 are 512-Kbit serial EEPROMs available in the industry-standard 2 x 3 x 0.6-mm 8-pin micro leadframe package. The devices each have a 20-MHz SPI port or 400-kHz or 1-MHz fast-mode plus I2 C interfaces.

The devices’ byte-mode erasing allows easy parameter update; and 128-byte page write and 5 ms write time yield rapid production line programming. Read current is as low as 2 mA, and standby current is less than 5 µA. Both devices also come in industry-standard SO-8 and TSSOP-8 packages. ($0.80 ea/high volume — available now.)
