Surface-mount amber LED is brighter, more color stable
The Luxeon Rebel LXM2-PL01-0000 phosphor-converted amber LED is said to provide two to five times more light output and dramatically less color shift when compared with typical amber LEDs. With a 350-mA drive current, it delivers a minimum flux of 50 lumens and a typical flux of 70 lm. This performance lets designers reduce the number of LEDs used, the cost per lumen, overall system costs, and manufacturing complexity.
At its 700-mA maximum drive current, the LED produces 130 lm. Addressing a broad range of applications from automotive to entertainment, the Philips-Lumiled-made LED exhibits the industry’s lowest color shift: typically ±0.005 x,y over 60°C range.
Measuring approximately 3 x 4.5 x 2 mm, the device has a maximum junction temperature of 120°C and an electrically isolated thermal pad. With regard to moisture sensitivity, it meets JEDEC Level 1, giving it unlimited floor life with no need for reconditioning. The LED is autoclave and RoHS compliant.
