The six-core Opteron 2419 EE server processor features a very low 40 W of ACP (average power consumption) and targets large data centers. The chip is said to have 31% higher performance per watt than standard quad-core Opteron CPUs.

The device works internally at 1.8 GHz, has 6 Mbytes of L3 cache, allows SMP with two processors, and supports virtualization. It comes in a Socket 1207 package. ($989 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
