The Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3-based 32-bit MCU family adds 29 new versions with up to 80-MHz clock speeds and unique IP for motion-control applications, intelligent analog functionality, and expanded connectivity options.

The LM3S1000 series targets general-purpose real-time processing. The LM3S3000 series has a USB device, USB Host/Device, and USB OTG I/O. The LM3S5000 series has support for USB and Bosch 2.0 A/B CAN interfaces. The LM3S9000 series has a 10/100 Ethernet MAC and PHY, USB OTG, and Bosch 2.0 A/B CAN I/O. The devices have single-cycle flash and SRAM interfaces and motion-control options including QEI and PWMs. (From $2 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
