The 0402 AntennaGuard SPV Series low-capacitance MLVs now include a sub-0.5-pF version that minimizes signal distortion in high-speed digital-interface, HDMI, analog-sensor, Flex Ray, GPS-antenna, and RF-amplifier-circuit applications. The devices deliver a sub-1-ns response time to ESD strikes and can withstand 100 successive strikes at 8 kV (IEC 61000–4-2).
The MLVs are said to minimize the parasitic capacitance and offers low-leakage characteristics that enable it to be used in low-distortion analog circuits. Intial offerings of the device include capacitance of 0.47 pF at 15 V. (From $0.007 ea/large qty — stock to 9 weeks ARO.)
