Smart-card connectors suit mobile applications
Suited for mobile, PoS, GPS and handheld applications, a range of smart-card connectors offer contact forces from 0.25 to 0.5 N. The eight-contact CCM01 and CCM02 Series connectors are designed for full-size ID1 cards. They are sealed, feature n.o. detection switch and chamfered opening in the card-entry slot, with 10 N max card insertion force. Minimum mechanical life for the CCM01 is 100,000 cycles and 500,000 cycles for the CCM02.
The CCM03 and CCM04 Series are both available with six or eight contacts, and contact force ranges from 0.25 to 0.5 N. The CCM03 is designed for SIM/SAM ID000 cards, with a 10,000-cycles-min mechanical life, 1-N card insertion force for the hinged cover version, and 50,000 cycles, 3-N card insertion force for the fixed cover version.
