Hybrid sockets comply with Intel CPUs

The LGA 1156 and 1366 surface-mount hybrid sockets combine the benefits of both an LGA socket and BGA component, and are compliant with the Intel Core i7 processor family. The sockets’ cantilever beam contacts come with a protective cover and a precise solder ball on the bottom.

Both sockets require backplates; the 1156 backplates are offered in zinc or nickel. An integrated lever mechanism is also required to surround the sockets on the top side of the PCB. ($6.50 ea/10,000 — available now.)
