Eighth-brick converter suits cold-wall cooling
The PKB4513PINBLC 50-W eighth-brick dc/dc converter powers 12-V intermediate bus architectures. Targeting applications such as power amplifiers and transceivers, it operates in sealed enclosures where cooling is not via conventional forced-air cooling and fans, but rather passive cold-wall technology.
Optimized to comply with low height and low-thermal-resistance building practices, the device features a 35 to 60-V input range and a 2,250-Vdc input-to-output isolation. All the heat-dissipating components are assembled on the top side to simplify the thermal interconnections. the converter operates from –40° to 120°C and has a 45-W output power with 91.8% efficiency.
