LED drivers target electronic signs

Designed to help avoid bright spots in high-efficiency electronic signs, the STP16CPP05, STP16CPPS05, STP16DPP05, and STP16DPPS05 LED drivers can supply 16 LED channels with driving capabilities of 3 to 40 mA and bit-to-bit accuracy within ±1%.

In addition, as a large display may require several thousand drivers, these devices also provide current matching from chip to chip (±2%) to further enhance visual performance. Additional features include the company’s patented automatic power saving, as well as a built-in LED error detection. ($0.70 ea/1,000 — available now.)
