The Gliders line of hybrid lithium coin-cell battery holders are said to offer higher reliability that standard holders. Available in 20 styles ranging from 10 mm (CR1025) to 24 mm (CR2430) in diameter, the lightweight plastic holders feature built-in reverse polarity protection.
The holders are also available in versions that hold two batteries in series for 6-V applications, and versions with either printed-circuit pins or SMD leads. The nickel-plated phosphor bronze retainers have pressure contacts that offer low electrical resistance and are optimized to keep a tight connection with the battery.
