TowerJazz and Tanner EDA

TowerJazz (www.towerjazz.com), a specialty foundry leader, and Tanner EDA (www.tannereda.com), a provider of EDA tools, recently announced a joint initiative to develop Process Design Kits (PDKs) for analog/mixed-signal (A/MS) designers using Tanner EDA’s HiPer Silicon software. This collaboration gives Tanner EDA customers access to TowerJazz’s innovative 0.18- and 0.35-µm power management process platform and TowerJazz customers access to Tanner EDA’s A/MS tools for a complete IC design solution. Tanner EDA and TowerJazz PDKs for power management devices will be available in the first quarter of 2010.

AWR and AMPSA

AWR (www.awrcorp.com) and AMPSA (www.ampsa.com), a supplier of RF and microwave amplifier design software, recently announced a relationship that enables AWR to incorporate AMPSA’s Multimatch amplifier design technology as an optional module into its industry-leading Microwave Office high-frequency design software. By making the Multimatch Amplifier Design Wizard (Multimatch ADW) readily available to Microwave Office software users, designers gain ready access to design technology for realizing state-of-the-art high-dynamic-range RF and microwave amplifiers (Class A and Class B).
