Brushless dc motors handle heavy duty

The 47 and 64 Frame brushless dc motors are engineered for applications onboard heavy-duty transit buses, and other transportation vehicles and deliver reliable operation for up to 60,000 hours. The virtually maintenance-free motors employ electronic commutation.

Applications include fans, blowers, pumps, and compressors from 0.5 to 2.25 HP. Both types have rare-earth magnets for high torque/weight ratio, accept a wide range of voltage (models from 12 to 110 Vdc), and offer protections against reverse polarity and voltage surges. The 47 Frame motor comes 6.08- and 6.68-in. lengths with continuous torque up to 50 oz-in. The 64 Frame comes in 7.08-, 10.125-, 10.36-, and 13.34-in. lengths with continuous torque up to 800 oz-in.
