16-bit MCUs feature capacitive touch sensing

The PIC24FJ64GA104 and PIC24FJ64GB004 16-bit MCUs feature a capacitive touch-sensing interface and low 20-nA current draw in deep-sleep mode. The J64GA104 features 16-MIPS performance, 32 or 64 Kbytes of flash, 8 Kbytes of RAM, hardware multiply and divide, a real-time clock and calendar, a 10-bit A/D converter, a compare/PWM unit, and the ability to reconfigure digital I/O pin locations.

The J64GB004 adds support for easy-to-use Full-Speed USB 2.0 peripheral, embedded host, and OTG interfaces. The devices have SPI and I2C interfaces, come in a QFN28, QFN44, or TQFP44 package, and operate at –40° to 85°C. They operate from 2.0 to 3.6 V. ($2.12 to $2.32 ea./10,000 — available now.)
