The AS3992 UHF RFID Gen 2 reader chip is an integrated analog front-end that provides protocol handling for ISO180006c/b 900-MHz RFID reader systems. It includes advanced features such as programmable (dense reader mode) DRM filters, predistortion, and an increased receiver sensitivity of –86 dBm.
The device also has an integrated supply voltage regulator (20 mA), which can be used to supply MCU and other external circuitry, a supply voltage regulator for the RF output stage, providing rejection to supply noise, and an internal power amplifier (20 dBm) for short-range applications. Housed in a QFN 64 package, the device provides an onboard VCO and PLL covering complete RFID frequency range 840 to 960 MHz. ($41.41 ea/1,000 — available now.)
