Dig attenuators operate up to 6 GHz

The 6-bit HMC792LP4E and 7-bit HMC759LP3E digital attenuators are suited for automotive, broadband, cellular/3G, WiMAX/4G, military, and T&M equipment applications. The HMC792LP4E is a digitally controlled GaAs MMIC device which operates from dc to 6 GHz, and can be programmed to provide up to 15.75 dB attenuation with 0.25 dB resolution. It delivers an insertion loss of 2.2 dB, and IP3 up to 55 dBm in any state.

The HMC759LP3E is a 7-bit BiCMOS device that operates from 10 to 300 MHz, and can be programmed to provide up to 31.75-dB attenuation in 0.25-dB steps. The part delivers P1dB and output IP3 of up to 21 and 40 dBm, respectively. (HMC792LP4E, $9.75 ea/10 — available now.)
