DCP enables performance breakthroughs in medical apps — Intersil

Many medical applications, such as O2 sensors, need highly accurate calibration. Introduced in June 2009, the ISL22317 is a true low-voltage, precision DCP (digitally controlled potentiometer) with typical ±1% tolerance.

Previously, DCPs have had an accuracy of ±20% of RTOTAL , and the technological leap to ±1% represents a major breakthrough. The ultralow tolerance allows the ISL22317 to be used as a true variable resistor, enabling users to set standard and nonstandard resistor values for open-loop applications.
