The SAM9M10 MCU features a 400-MHz ARM926EJ core and includes a video decoder and 2D acceleration (scaling, rotating, color space conversion, picture in picture). The 324-ball TFBGA-packaged MCU also includes twin 133-MHz external bus interfaces for DDR2 RAM.
The chip has high-speed USB Host/Device ports, an Ethernet MAC, 37 DMA channels, two interfaces for MMC 4.3 and SDIO/SD Card 2.0 support, an LCD controller with resistive touchscreen support, and CMOS camera and audio interfaces. It decodes video streams up to D1 (720 x 576 pixels) or WVGA (800 x 480) at 30 fps and takes just 8 µA in backup mode, 12 mA in low-power mode, and 130 mA max.
